Swimming with the Big J and the Little J

On Friday, we went swimming at Grandma's house with Jamie.  We had fun in the pool, and Jamie learned how to use Davis's snorkel and mask.  After swimming, we went back to Grandma's for pizza!

Super Cool Art Project!

Yesterday, Reiss worked on a super cool art project.  First, we made the "paint" from a recipe which was sort of like a pancake batter.  Then, we put the paint into four snack sized ziplocs with food coloring and squished the color around.  Here is the link: http://pinterest.com/pin/97179304432421843/

Then, we snipped off the corner of the bags and Reiss decorated a picture. After his pictures were finished, we put them in the microwave for 35 seconds and the paints expanded and dried.  Really looked cool!

You can see how high the paints got. Very cool consistency, too!

A Dinner Date at the Ming with Mommy and Kailey!!!

Last night, Reiss had dinner with Mommy and Kailey at Ming Dynasty.  Reiss kept Kailey busy going back and forth to the buffet many, many times!!!  He liked the white rice, dumplings, and red jello best.  He even had his noodles made on the Mongolian Barbeque grill.  For dessert, he and Kailey both had ice cream.  Reiss liked to dip his fortune cookies in the ice cream.  Thanks, Kailey, for a fun dinner!!!

Kickin' It Old School

Yesterday, we went to Yestercades in Red Bank.

We played tons of "old school" video games.  Our favorite arcade games were 

Donkey Kong and Mario Bros.

Mommy's favorite was The Cyclone pinball machine.  Reiss played pinball with her.  

Daddy set the high score for Knock-Out and played Track-N-Field.

  

Davis even played Mario Bros on Atari. They had every imaginable game system. 

But our favorite parts were playing Minecraft on the XBox and 

MarioKart Double Dash on the Nintendo Game Cube!  

Okie Dokie and Mommy used to play this when they were our age!!!

Our Endless Summer

One summer tradition for our family is eating at Woodies and playing miniature golf at Flamingo Golf.  Because of the 90 degree heat, Reiss opted for a few games at the arcade at Our Endless Summer instead.  We had a great time and won a few small prizes including a Cherry Airhead which fueled Reiss for the rest of the evening!!!
