Countdown to Musiakiewicz Manahawkin Move-In and a Swimming Day @ Mr. Jack's House

It is less than a week until our cousins move in to their new house, so we went over to give them a hand and bring Finley to see his new home.  Mom helped clean the kitchen, Dad mowed the lawn, Davis swept out the shed, and Reiss--well, Reiss drank lemonade.  While Uncle Kevin and Dad wrapped up a few things, we brought Zach and Charlee back to our house for a swim to cool off.

Today, we went to one of our FAVORITE swimming spots...Mr. Jack's house!!!  We love it there because it has a diving board!

Check out our videos of our favorite dives...Reiss does a MEAN cannonball!!!
(Not quite sure what Davis was doing in the baby tube...)

Lego Board Game, Bowling, and the Car Wash

Yesterday, we played a Lego Board Game that Mommy printed out.  First, we each made a mini-figure.  Then, we rolled the dice and followed the directions (ex. Lose 2 Legos).  The tallest tower at the end of the game wins.  Reiss won both times which made Davis mad enough to try to cheat in the second round.  Notice the nasty looks that were going back and forth in the pictures below.
Here is the link if you'd like to play the game:

After our Lego game, we picked up McDonald's and brought it to the bowling alley.  Davis and Reiss tried to beat Mommy's score.  They were allowed to add their scores together.  Mommy got a 170 and Davis and Reiss scored a 134.  Mommy won (which is good because she came last both times in the Lego Game).       Davis got a strike!  (Reiss couldn't sit still long enough for a un-blurry picture...) After bowling, we went to the car wash and vacuumed Mommy's car.  We pretended we were being attacked by jellyfish, an octopus, and a giant squid as we drove through.

A Busy Day at Home

Today was a very busy day for us.
First, we made circle art. We made circles with black paint and a cup.
Then, we painted the circles in with Glitter Paint in different colors.

Mom's Circle Art
Davis's Circle Art (Can you find Wiggler?)

Reiss's Circle Art

Next, we made S'Mores in a Solar Oven made from a Pizza Box.
Davis did a great job reading the directions to Reiss and Mom.
Here is the link in case you'd like to try it, too:

Finally, we had fun dogsitting Finley for Uncle Kevin.  We took him for a walk after dinner to try and make sure he calmed down before bedtime!!!  He kept getting tangled in his leash.

Davis and Daddy Hang Out; Reiss and Mommy Go Shopping

While Mommy and Reiss were out shopping for Charlee's birthday at Toys R Us, Davis and Daddy stayed home and played Super Smash Bros.  Davis was King Dedede.  He beat Daddy every time but one battle.

We also played Mario Party 9 as a family.  Mom and Dad played as a team, but--despite an early lead--they came in last place as Koopa Troopa.  Reiss came in 2nd place as Yoshi (of course).  And Davis was the 1st Place Super Star as Luigi.

An Afternoon in the Tidal Pool

We spent yesterday afternoon at the beach with Mom and Dad.  The best part was swimming in the tidal pool.  The most annoying part was chasing the gulls who were eating our Doritos.  (And when Reiss lost his flip flop in the sand!!!) That is not all that Reiss has lost...The Tooth Fairy visited twice in the past two weeks. See the space in the bottom row below...

One Day with Logan; One Day with Papa

Yesterday, Logan came over to swim in our pool.  We played Super Smash Brothers.  Davis was Bowser and Logan was Mario.  Reiss didn't play.

On Sunday, we went to spend the day with Papa because Grammy went out to a bridal shower.
We went swimming at his pool.

Monsters University

We went to Monsters University with Zach and Charlee.  We went to get the tickets earlier and, after we got the tickets, we went to Five Below.  Davis got a blow-up chair with his gift card from the prize box in Speech class.  Reiss got a Sonic figure.  Reiss's favorite part of the movie was when Don got stung by the urchins and his butt cheeks were really big!  Davis's favorite part was when Art was sneaking into the simulator because he moves in cool ways.

Beach Day with Our Friends

The beach yesterday was fun because we went boogieboarding.  There was a big tidal pool (with a stinging jellyfish).  We found sand crabs, put them in a frisbee for a tank, but then we let them go.  Mommy's friend Liz came with us, and we met Ryan Sicoli and his family there.  We met Kyla and Jack.

Watching Octonauts and Swimming with Zach and Charlee at Grammy's House

Yesterday, we made food deliveries to churches.  After the deliveries, we went to the lookout place on the island and had lunch.  We tried to see a pod of whales but only saw big boats dredging the sand back onto the beaches.  Then, we went to Grammy's house and went to the pool with Zach and Charlee.  At dinner, we watched half YouTube and half Octonauts.

Nautilus Park with Logan

We went to the park, and we went bike riding with our friend Logan.  In this picture, there is Mario, Luigi, Squishy, Patrick, DK, Orange Yoshi, Dave, Don, Terry and Teri, and Red. After we played on the playground, we flew our Red Bird kite.  We made a new a friend named Cole, too.

Library, Crafts. and Getting Ready for Monsters University

Today, we rode our bikes to the library and the Pretzel Factory with our new Monsters University plushes.  We got movies because it was going to rain.  When we came home, Reiss and Mommy made puppets.  They are Green Gene, Super Pink Chick, Red-Headed Fred, and Yellow Fellow.  We took a ride to see where Zach and Charlee are moving.  And we watched Back at the Barnyard.

This is Squishy and Don.

Our Puppets

Chalk Drawings

We started our summer off with chalk drawings about summer.  We liked this because they were the best drawings we ever did.  All of the drawings were off sea animals and summer.
